CEDD Signed Contract for Open Space Development in Tung Chung New Town Extension (East) - Phase 1

The Civil Engineering and Development Department signed a contract of about HK$1,229 million on 11 April 2025 with Chun Wo – Build King Joint Venture for carrying out open space works under the Tung Chung New Town Extension project.

The works mainly include:

  1. construction of western waterfront promenade;
  2. construction of a cycle park cum skatepark;
  3. provision of greening for part of the linear parks;
  4. associated leisure and sports facilities, road, drainage, utilities, architectural, building, electrical and mechanical, and landscaping works; and
  5. implementation of environmental mitigation measures for the works mentioned above.

The works commenced on 17 April 2025 for completion in 2028.
